If you like dialogue/NPC depth and companions in mods then most of Emma's mods are really really good.(such as constace, white wolf, laura craft and Prophecy Of The Lost Heir. Just to name a few)'alternative beginings' is a small but cool mods, it alows the player to decide on some different starting places instead of the prison ship.' Suran underworld' is great and involves a variety of quests'houses for sale' alows you to buy different homes around the island'morrowind comes alive' is pretty cool as it spices the NPCs upfinally, the 'LGNPC' mods add a load of variety to the towns in the ways of dialogueSomething. The essential mods are a matter of personal taste, but the ones that are pretty much universal are as follows:- Better Bodies (almost all clothing packs depend on BB or Smoother Bodies, which is actually pretty close to BB.
Installijng Less Generic NPCs Hi, I've downloaded the LGNPC bundle pack from lgnpc.org, and I'm a tiny bit confused. Do I just go through and extract each of the various sub-folders (e.g. Lgnpcaldruhn1.20.zip, lgnpchlaoad1.40.zip etc) into my Data folder and then activate them? This is a roleplaying mod to give more life to NPCs in Morrowind. At this point eleven of the NPCs in the town of Seyda Neen have been modified to give them specific dialog option about things like backgrounds and jobs. Dialog sometimes varies depending upon how well they like you, your gender and other factors.
Most SB clothing fits BB, with minor clipping issues, but the opposite is not true: BB clothing tends to have 'gaps' on SB bodies)- Better Clothes (edits the default clothing to fit BB frames - extremely useful!)- All of the official MW plugins (TES official site)- MultiMark (allows up to 9 'Mark' locations, the way it should have been to begin with. Might actually be 12 in the latest version; not sure)- Better Heads + World of Faces (adds a load of heads, then distributes them to the NPCs. These look a lot more natural on BB than the default heads do, so it goes hand in hand with BB)Apart from that, it's entirely a matter of taste, but some good ones I've found.- Darker Morrowind. Still my favourite texture pack.- Slof's Goth Shop I & II - I usually play male characters, and while I'm not particularly fond of gothic or fetishwear, there are several outfits that are actually quite appropriate. Point in case: Dressed to the nines in Slof's clothing, I once showed off my character to my six year old nephew. SGS uses BB.- Animal Realism. Most animals in Morrowind will be fairly docile unless you screw with them.
Diseased animals will sometimes still attack, and blighted ones almost invariably go after you, like normal. The way it SHOULD have been in my opinion. In fact, some animals will actually just flee when you attack them.- Centurion's Stronghold Extension. I personally am Redoran through-and-through. The Telvannis are too egocentric and Hlaalu are unethical. This mod gives Bal Isra a 4th level when you become Archmaster, making your stronghold one of the finest in the land.- Syc's Herbalism for Purists. Great stuff - if you've played OB, then it makes harvesting pretty much just like that.
You simply activate the plant, gather the ingredient IF there is one to be gathered (based on the same formula used to determine if there will be an ingredient inside the container in the vanilla game), and then the plant is disabled for a month. Really cuts down on the tedious searching through a patch of vines with 3 containers that look like they're all one plant.- Sadrith Mora Closed. AWESOME mod; it does just what it's supposed to, and nothing more. When you're in Sadrith Mora without hospitality papers and are not of House Telvanni, guards will chuck you out. No more can you just walk right in when it's plainly stated in-game that you shouldn't be able to. The mod contains another ESP that lets you remove the effect completely if you try it for a while and don't like it.In addition to the above, I like to use lots of weapon and clothing packs.A demon wakens with the night, reviling sun and all things bright. Here's a list of links to all the mods/etc mentioned in this thread (roughly done in order of post or when I found them)Patches:Start with patches 1) or 2), and additionally patch 4).
Contents Information Mod DescriptionThis project aims to replace all the generic dialogue in Morrowind with more interesting and engaging conversations. We want every NPC in every town, village, or camp to have his or her own personality and back story. We have decided to approach this mod town by town, and release each one when it is finished. We will ultimately replace the dialogue for every NPC in Vvardenfell, and so far we have completed six towns and a big city. The big city we are talking about is Ald'ruhn, the main headquarters of House Redoran. It is actually the largest single mod we will release, since we are going to do Vivec one canton at a time. This mod is the biggest dialogue mod ever released, containing over 3000 responses for 250 topics, and is equivalent to 500+ MSWord pages.
Moreover, it has 30 quests for you to enjoy. To learn more about other features, visit the downloads page and get the mod, which is packed into a small 250KB archive, not being a problem for the slowest connections out there. Our latest mod, Pelagiad, is no worse than Ald'ruhn in quality, and a powerful rival in quantity, having 200+ pages of dialogues, 20 quests, and absolutely stunning characters, which we promise you'll remember for a long time.We have aimed to preserve the Morrowind feel with each of our NPCs, so you can rest assured none of them will tell you their new DVD player is cool. We plan on releasing merged mods for each region when it is done, and eventually a single mod for all of Vvardenfell. Many NPCs in the towns we replaced now have branching dialogue as well as completely unique responses to topics.
Any NPC that is part of a quest still functions as before, but has unique dialogue. For example, you can still rescue Madura for the Imperial Legion despite the Ald Velothi mod, and you can still get quests from the new Neminda in the Ald'ruhn mod. Many NPCs also have quests attached. We do not like over-powering rewards. Some of those include: healing scrolls, jewelry, a small house in Maar Gan, alchemy knowledge, reputation, and miscellaneous artifacts, all balanced with the quests they are gained from. In addition to that, some new quests are intertwined with the old ones, and of course the old ones are taken into account when each NPC is written.(Taken from.)Finished CitiesSeyda NeenAld VelothiKhuulMaar GanGnaar MokHla OadAld'ruhnPelagiadTel MoraVivec, Foreign QuarterLinks.
